Touched a Heart!
Monday, 4 February 2008 2:41:00 am
Darn. Im back to my lihai-work.

Workload+workload of 3days+Boss's blabs= Losing my sanity bit by bit by bit!

Anyways, the IM CHARITY EVENING 2008 for Autism Children of SMARTERS Brunei was super great. Quite entertaining i must say. Ticket stated that it starts at 7pm. So me and my friends from KB had to rush all the to Jerudong 'cause the ticket also stated that,

"Latecomers are not allowed to enter unless there's an approriate intermission or break."

wth right. We left KB around 5.30ish, left from church at 6.20pm, leaving us with 40 minutes to rush. Possible to catch up with the time but speed traps are almost set-up everwhere now. but amazingly, we arrived at JP Ampitheatre at 7.10pm at a speed of 150km/h HAHA. Literally i had my eyes closed all the way because i have fear on speed & crash. Who doesnt? Haha. And we parked about 0.5km away, and me wearing heels & skirt with the wind blowing breezely (#$%&78kkl!), was NOT a good combo. Plus, i had to rush the entrance too, imagine walking fast in heels. Gosh. But me, a lihai person, can handle hard jobs like this kacang one :) Got to our table #34, which was 2 tables away from HRH Princess Pg Sarah, direct view too. I think that was the closest encounter i had with HRH. Seated for an hour plus to wait for the arrival of HRH. So there was no point for us to rush all the way right when we had to sit for another hour. Sot. BUT its okay. Cause we had a good seat & view.

HRH arrived around 8.10pm-ish. All rise for the royalty, which was akward for me though. Idk. Maybe im not used to do that. HAHA. Event started with certificate presentation by HRH to sponsors. I think most sponsorship came from KB. Like PTAS - Platinium Sponsor, Emas Laut, Musfada, Electrowatt, Joffren Omar, etc. NBT, QAF, Brunei Press sponsored too. I was quite surprise no bank company came forward to support. Since there're the ones with money in the bank. HAHA apakans. Emcees of the event was DJ Anna from KFM, whom who wore an unpretty dress (sorry! i just dont like it. still i love you Anna.) and some guy - sorry, didnt manage to get his name (again, sorry!) Then FOOD was served. Hallelujah! Tapi, when the lid was open,

"Oh, darns. typical malay food. " kecundang.

Is not that i dislike it, all the menu was meat meat meat, and NO GREEN VEGGIES. bhskajflk;hf;. ngoks. All the rendang, kurma, kari. my gosh. no wonder people are geettting all those unwanted tyres. RBC or Royal Brunei Catering could have done a better menu, or the person who chose the menu. All very lemak-y man. But, yeah, thumbs up for the food & service. It was good. Still, expected some good veggies. Thank goodness there was fruits for dessert. if not, i pity vegeterians who came that night. And yeah, not to mention, food wasnt enough. grrr. Apparently, people at my table are big eater. Big big appetite like me. A BIG one. Haha exxageratting.

PS: Camera was prohibited. !#%^$$^&*! Sen-ching-ping. But whatever to the rules. I managed to snap a few shots of the night. Few as in 3 or 4. Sikit. HAAHA. Blame the rules okay.

The Autistic children performance was very amusing. Was very much pleased and touch with these special ones. I love the part where the children dance & breakdance (Yes, They can!) i was very aw-ed! It wasnt really a breakdance though, it just seems.. "Whoa!" and yeah, "AAWW!" and there was another presentation, a boy & a brunei singer sang Inconsolable by Backstreet Boys. The boy can sing! Despite he's autistic, he can belt out a song! He went, "uuu yeah baby!" HAHAHA verrrry cutttee! very entertaining. Too bad i didnt video-ed it. Another boy who sang Kenangan Terindah by Samsons was a bit timid. I dont blame him. Still the crowd loved him. and Fakhrul Razi. kwangkwangkwang.

Magic show by the Giggles or better know as the JPCC Clowns. Giggles also danced to a MJ's track, as in Michael Jackson not Me HAHA, lawa the dance move. They almost made me shake my bootay that night. Respect goes to them for great talents. Interesting. and Songs from Brunei Singers. I wasnt really entertained by them except for Putri Norizah's performance and the Umbrella song. Nonetheless, they gave a stellar perfomance for the night.

Theme song for the event was composed by Nellie of UBD & Hans Anwar titled "REACH OUT TOUCH A HEART". Very nice song. I love the chorus. I'll post the whole lyric when i get a hold of the programme book. You can go to IM blog and have a listen of the track.

" Let us hold our hands together, Have a faith within our heart, Reach Out and touch a Heart"

I bought two Red IM tees which totaled at $20.00, one for me one for boyfriend♥ cause i felt giving that night and plus, i did not even pay for the $50 ticket. So yeah. At least I did donate some bucks & support! Right? And thanks much to the wonderful person who sponsored me and 9 of my friends those tickets (10x50=$500). Banyak tu. Sorry that I did not win any "lucky" draws for you, eventhough my ticket almost hit a jackpot! Grrrrr. Screw lucky for leaving me heartbroken!

Event finished at 11.35pm ish. It was pouring by then, rushed back to the car. Sister wasrned NOT to sleep in car so that we'd watched the road for her too. I literally had my heart panicking, cause combo of road and heavy rain, is no excitement. Arrived home at 1.30am, meaning we spent 1 hour plus on the road. AND yeah, strike at midnight 3rd Feb sang a birthday song for sister Mona, music background - hard pouring rain with eyes wide open and heart wide panicked. Isnt that the sweetest gift? HAHAHA. happy belated birthday sis.

So here, I leave you link of Brunei Time, BB Online & Ranoadidas Brunei No.1 Social News Website for News on IM Charity Evening 2008 photos & article.
